About this ministry: This ministry is responsible for meeting with engaged couples to prepare them for the Sacrament of Matrimony using the guidelines of the Archdiocese of Denver.
What training is necessary? Training takes about 2 - 3 hours and consists of explanation of the procedure for giving the FOCCUS questionnaire and other booklets for preparing the couples for marriage in the Church.
To whom is this ministry open? Couples who have been married at least 2 years and have a marriage grounded in Christ are invited to be ministers.
What expertise is needed? In order to be a part of this ministry, it is important that you are willing to meet new couples and share ideas for a happy and successful marriage.
What kind of a commitment is required? Couples will meet with an engaged couple about 6 times for 2 hours each. Meetings take place in the marriage preparation couples' home. Team members may prepare as few as one or as many as four couples per year.
