About this ministry: The Pastor is the responsible steward of the resources made available voluntarily to the Church in order to carry out her mission. The complexity of this mandate has led to the necessity of Finance Councils. Finance Council members, in addition to being responsible stewards, are consultative in their role as advisors. Working together, they enable the parish to accomplish the most responsible stewardship of our resources in both the short and long term.
To whom is this ministry open? Anyone who is 21 years or older and is a registered member of Blessed Sacrament Parish. Members are appointed by the pastor.
What expertise is needed? A background in financial and strategic planning and an interest in the long-term goals of the parish.
What kind of a commitment is required? The Parish Finance Council involves a three-year commitment.
When does this ministry meet? The Finance Council meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm.
