About this ministry: The Catholic Worker Soup Kitchen provides a hot meal for 300 - 400 homeless or near homeless persons in the Denver area. It is prepared in a Methodist Church kitchen and served at the St. Francis Center.
To whom is this ministry open? Teens and adults are invited to help.
What expertise is needed? Volunteers help with the food preparations, transportation of food, serving, or clean up.
What kind of a commitment is required? The soup kitchen is open every Wednesday and Friday except the third Wednesday of the month. Preparation takes place from 10 am – 1 pm and food is served from about 2:15-5:00 pm. Volunteers are welcome to come at any point during the day to help.
